From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by our hosts, Nicole and Kathleen. We’ve just returned from a week at the fabulous Cas al Cubo in the beautiful Algarve countryside. This might have been our first visit to Cas al Cubo but it certainly won’t be our last and we’re already looking into when we can return - hopefully as soon as possible!!. Breakfasts were a lovely lazy affair on the main terrace with a wide range of cooked meats and cheeses, home made breads (thanks for the recipe ladies!) and a vast array of fresh fruits and yoghurts - not forgetting a different home made cake every day too!! On one evening they provided a wonderful bbq meal for all the guests which gave us the opportunity to relax and get to know our European neighbours in a convivial atmosphere!! Our room, Oliveira, was comfortable and spacious with a large terrace on which to enjoy both the sunshine and the night sky. The bed and breakfast has everything you could ever need, and a great deal of care and attention has been given to each of the spotlessly clean rooms. Our visit coincided with it being Nicole’s and my birthdays and they made sure we celebrated by producing a wonderful birthday cake at breakfast for everyone to share, then in the evening taking us to a local mountain restaurant for the most amazing dinner.
